After college, I became a web development specialist for West Virginia University’s school of medicine. I basically oversee the various editors in 70+ departments and help made the school of medicine’s vision become apparent through the web and multimedia. I have also assisted in projects such as publications, annual report, and the monthly e-news, for the school of medicine. It’s a great job and the skills I am learning here continue to help me on the road of my video game career.
Now that I have my own place I am free to indulge in other projects outside of work ranging from freelance web design and Dance Dance Revolution, one of the few advantages of having a ground level apartment. To complement the cardiovascular exercise of DDR, and to offset all the bad diet eating choices, I also have a membership to the local university gym/recreation center. Both of these habits are not only fun but great stress relievers.
My hobbies remain unchanged for the most part. I still play more than my share of video games and have started recording my accomplishments with the help of my computer and a few splitter cables. I guess it is true that some people refuse to give up childhood completely. I program my own games and continue my character design through drawing as well as character modeling.
My goals are still oriented on the game industry and I will continue networking to get in the position where I feel my skills would be beneficial. This is an industry that I love and want to have a career in. I guess time and my efforts will see if a such a career is the next leap in my professional life.
